Minnesota recorded eight more COVID-19 deaths Thursday and 874 new infections were reported by the state Department of Health.
Nearly 5 million vaccine doses have been administered and more than 62 percent of residents ages 16 and older have gotten at least one dose.
The latest fatalities from COVID-19 ranged in age from their 50s to their 90s with seven residing in private homes and one in long-term care.
Test-positivity and hospitalizations continue to decline. There are 412 patients hospitalized including 109 in critical condition.
The current seven-day rolling average for test-positivity is 3.4 percent, which is less than half the mid-April peak.
Minnesota has diagnosed 597,052 coronavirus infections and 7,333 have died from CODID-19 since the pandemic began in March 2020.
