808 Berry is the best building in town. And they're doing a million dollars in renovations that will get rid of all our winter amenities. The theater room, sauna and tanning booth. That will turn this into just another plain old building. They plan on converting the theater room into a shared work space . Most remote workers require a landline phone and a private room for client data privacy. So unless there will be several private offices with landline phones, it will probably just sit empty. I think this is the reason most shared workspaces don't work in apartment buildings. And let's be honest, when you're looking for a new apartment, does anyone really get excited when they hear a building has a shared workspace. But say theater room with surround sound and watch eyes light up! :D Just posting this review to so hopefully it will reach the right person and they will ask us what what we think about losing all our favorite amenities. Will likely save the building lots of money. There are concerns like, will tenants still stay when all the great amenities are taken away? And once our amenities are gone, will they lower everyone's rent to justify it? Let's face it ...that's what most tenants pay the high rent rates for and we're ok with that. Finally, how will 808 Berry compete with all the newer buildings coming up when it loses everything that makes it stand out? (coax, coax) I mean, you're never bored here no matter how cold it is outside! Don't get rid of any of our wonderful amenities. We love our home just the way it is!
I have lived at 808 Berry Place for the last 10+ years. Since we have got a new manager, Scot, he has made the entrances and the common areas feel very comfortable. All the decorations have been renovated and they look amazing. I feel that 808 Berry Place is absolutely beautiful and Stephan, the concierge, is very friendly greeting you when coming home. Management always takes care of any issues that arrive. Sincerely, a very happy resident. Wendy M.
I've only lived at 808 Berry Place since March 28, 2020 but so far it's by far the BEST apartment community I've ever lived. I moved in on the first day of the stay at home order, so many of their wonderful amenities were closed because of Covid-19 pandemic. I'm so impressed with 808's property team for their hard work during the COVID-19 pandemic. Back in April when it was still bitterly cold during the nights, my furnace stopped working. I called their office at 4pm on a Saturday afternoon. Maintenance was here within 15 minutes and it was diagnosed that the thermostat was bad. It was replaced and working again by 5pm. UNBELIEVABLE! #APTeamsDay
Great place to live! A very professional management from the receptionist (Steve) to all the way to the property manager (Scott)!! A great Team!!!
808 Berry was an extremely comfortable place to call home. The building features many luxury amenities without the luxury price tag. My apartment was larger than most in the area and had many features I enjoyed including 9-foot ceilings, generous outdoor space, and large picture windows. The private courtyard is by far one of the largest and nicest in the city. The staff does an exceptional job at providing outstanding services and treating their residents like royalty. The community hosts a monthly happy hour and makes 808 a fun and welcoming place to live. I will continue to recommend 808 to my friends and anyone looking for a quality and affordable place to call home.
