I miss living here so much! I unfortunately had to move because of COVID and job change. Cami was so helpful and understanding, as she always has been throughout my stay at AVID. The quick responses I got for everything from maintenance requests to seeing if I had a package, made me feel like I would always be taken care of no matter how small of a request I had. Cami and Kelsey (and Sarah who started working in the office around the time I left) were the best landlords I’ve ever had. They really care about their residents and would even take time out of their day to sit and listen to me vent. Definitely would live here if I was in the area or if I ever go back. 10 out of 10 HIGHLY recommend.
Worst place I've lived during my stay in Minneapolis. if you love your family and yourself stay away!! they moved us into an apartment knowing it had flooding issues. ruined our furniture and clothes. (Neighbors Knew it flooded, they told us and they felt bad). after that they moved us upstairs where a local artist previously lived & painted the walls. the landlord told us we wouldn't have to pay to clean it up if we decided to keep the painting. Knowing the flooding issue we decided to take the apartment ASAP and keep the painting. the apartment unit had major bug problems it was so gross we didn't even want to cook there. not to mention we left the apartment spotless when we left compared to how it was when we first moved in. they decided to keep our deposit even though we did a better job keeping the place than their own staff. do not trust these people, if you decide to live here make sure you get everything in writing. horrible horrible apartments that take advantage of struggling people.
Staff will not inform you of invasive maintenance. Staff will not inform you of packages delivered at front office. (Found one package nine months after delivery date) Staff seems uninformed and indifferent to utilities and cleanliness, but more about cosmetics (hence the gaudy paint jobs on each building). Single coin-operated washer and dryer accommodates entire building(s). Holes in apartment walls with wires coming out. Promised complex free internet as an amenity, have been waiting on that for months. Heating is controlled by landlord, not individual tenants. Value is in location and location alone.
Extremely happy in my 1st month of being here! Staff has been incredible, they’ve been in my apartment immediately after having trouble with my oven (was because of something I was doing). I fell outside today and was immediately approached by three staff and was even helped with carrying my groceries and Amazon deliverys by Sarah who has gone out of her way to help me when I’ve needed her. It’s not in Sarah’s job description to help me carry my bags and suitcases in when I moved in and it after I fall help me to my apartment (which is on the 3rd floor). I’m very impressed with the hospitality I’ve received in my first month!
If you are still renting 3412 on colfax out to people I'll leave my star.
