It is no fun growing old. I find my balance and leg strength diminished. I was getting “take out” from a local restaurant and found that I could not safely negotiate the descent from the curb to the road because of the snow and ice I needed to step over. I asked a gentleman to help me and he even found it difficult.
His female companion joined us and they both took an arm and helped me safely descend to the road.
Sainted to them both for their kindness and help.
It is nice to know that there are lots of good people out there.

Kudos to the Ramsey County and Saint Paul Public Works Departments, which thoroughly deserve to be “sainted” for maintaining excellent trail conditions in the winter.
Biking is my main form of transportation, even in the winter; I ride my bike to buy groceries, pick up take-out, mail letters, and run other sundry errands. I started biking year-round about five years ago, and I have seen a marked improvement in trail conditions over that time. These improvements encourage cyclists like me to use the trails more.
As an East Side (St. Paul) resident, I, and many other cyclists, are thrilled with the new trails in the city and county. Like roads, bike/pedestrian trails benefit the entire community, not just the residents who live or work near the trails. I know many Ramsey County Commissioners and City Council Members encourage maintaining and improving our trails; thank you, elected officials, for your support.

I would like to thank the team at United Hospital 3rd floor CCU. Everyone was helpful and kind.
I would not have made it without you.

Sainted and Tainted
Sainted to the past and current employees of St Joseph’s Hospital in St Paul who braved the cold on Dec 30.
A candlelight vigil was held to share their grief and mourn the closing of the first hospital in Minnesota. Tainted to M Health Fairview that closed the facility in the middle of a pandemic as well as a much needed and loved community hospital.

For over 2 years, I’ve had a chance to get to know my mail carrier, Perry. He is the best. Perry is friendly and really cares about his customers.
I’m in a wheelchair and if I have packages, Perry is kind enough to bring them to my apartment door.
Thank you, Perry, for everything you do. He is an asset to the U.S. Post Office.

I would like to publicly recognize Nancy with Allina Specialty Drug Service.
I take a VERY expensive medication for multiple sclerosis. Nancy has made sure it is always shipped to my home on time. She has helped me enroll in a co-pay assistance program for my very expensive MS medication.
Because of a change in insurance I will no longer have the pleasure of Nancy looking out for my medication needs.
I hope that Allina recognizes how valued Nancy makes Allina Specialty Drug patients feel.
