Sainted: They’re keeping the camp trash picked up

10October 2020

Sainted to the people living in tents along the Bruce Vento Trail field and woods who are keeping camp trash picked up.

A number of camp residents asked if they could help when they saw me picking up trash along the trail as a Saint Paul Parks volunteer. So I gave them some Ace Hardware 3 mil contractor bags I use. And I suggested putting it at the park trash containers like I do, plus the extra container at Arlington.

The camp areas now look good and the pile of trash from previous campers was picked up.

A tip of the hat to the community gardeners at Merriam Station Community garden and Dunning Community garden, who not only have beautiful gardens for all to see, but donate a lot of their vegetables and flowers to local food shelves and senior settings.

I salute you and say thanks for building community during some interesting times.

Lake Elmo Lion’s Club does a highway cleanup service project twice a year. I can’t believe all the litter that we picked up!

We need to be stewards of our environment. Please don’t litter our roads.
