St. Thomas Academy named Greg May as the school’s new athletic director Tuesday.
May currently serves as the director of operations under Bob Motzko in the Gophers men’s hockey program.
Before that, May was heavily involved in high school athletics. He served as The Blake School’s associate director of athletics from 2016 to 2019, while also working as the Bears’ boys hockey coach. He was Farmington’s boys hockey coach in the two years prior, leading the Tigers to their first-ever state tournament appearance.
“We place a high value on athletics and activities because they are an important component of the Cadet experience and help reinforce our commitment to character development,” St. Thomas Academy headmaster Kelby Woodard said in a statement. “Ninety-five percent of our boys participate in at least one activity or sport. As head over all our athletics and activities, Greg will be integral to shaping a positive Cadet experience for our boys.”
